The Best PIZZA in Rome
Italy is famous for pizza but once you arrive in Italy, you’ll soon realize that who has the bragging rights to the best pizza is hotly debated. The contenders? Rome and Naples. The best way to find the winner? Try as many as possible!
In Rome though, stick with “Roma” style or “bassa” meaning, thin crust.
ANTICO FORNO ROSCIOLI
Via dei Chiavari
Near Campo de’ Fiori
This is technically a bakery, not a sit down pizza joint, but a great place to grab a lunchtime slice of pizza on the go. Roscioli is famed throughout Rome for its amazing strips or fresh yummy pizza – just indicate how much of the strip you want, they weigh it, wrap it and off you go! Also has a great selection of cakes, breads and other hot food. They have a small seating section in the back or tables outside to lean on while you munch! They also have an amazing bistro, with fabulous food and an incredible wine list just around the corner!

Huge pizza! Lovely Fresh ingredients, friendly service, great value for money with the added bonus of being situated in one of Rome’s liveliest and most fun districts. A popular haunt for locals and reservations not possible, so get there early (around 8pm) to make sure you get a table!
L'ISOLA DELLA PIZZA

Vicolo Savelli, 13
Near Piazza Navona and Campo de’ Fiori
"Se vuoi na pizza, dillo!" If you want a pizza, then say so! This is my top choice for thin, crispy Roman pizza. The waiters are spirited, the prices are right, and the fried appetizers (don't miss the fried zucchini flowers!) are to die for.
