There is nothing quite like authentic Italian gelato!
Roman summers are notoriously hot, and after (or during!) your tour there is nothing more refreshing than a traditional Italian gelato. At Eyes of Rome, we take gelato matters very seriously! After extensive research, we've decided on our personal favorites.
Mix and match flavors, choose cones or cups, but most importantly, ENJOY!
GELATERIA DEL TEATRO
Via di San Simone, 70
Near Piazza Navona.
Why settle for good gelato when you can have GREAT gelato?!? After my first taste of "Fondente al Nero D'Avola" (chocolate and red wine) there was no going back. They offer numerous inventive flavors, use only local and organic ingredients, and even have gluten-free cones. I am not a fan of gelato (weird, I know) but I love the milkshakes here!
GELATERIA DEI GRACCHI
Via dei Gracchi, 272
Near the Vatican
If you are near the Vatican you have to go to Gelateria dei Gracchi. Giolitti and San Crispino are nothing compared to this place!!! It will change your perspective on ice-cream once and for all ;-)
By the way, their pistachio is a must!
CREMERIA DON PEPE
Via di S. Giovanni in Laterano, 40
Near the Colosseum
A small and good GELATERIA, with Sicilian specialties. If you want a fresh and creamy gelato.
Via leonina, 18
Near the Roman Forum
The best Sicilian specialties; not only a fantastic gelato, but especially traditional sweets and cakes as "cannoli" and "cassata". If you are on a diet, run away as fast as you can- it is impossible to resist!
Via della Maddalena, 30/A
Near the Pantheon
Grom is a high quality gelateria – they only use fresh, top-quality ingredients!
