There are many cafes and restaurants that provide restrooms near the Colosseum and Forum but they are often for paying customers only.
It is important to remember that not all restrooms (toilets) near the Colosseum are accessible to those with disabilities and not all restrooms will have disabled stalls.
The public toilets’ opening hours are 7:00 in the morning until 18:00 in the evening during the winter months and 19:00 during the summer months.
Keep in mind that there is only one toilet facility inside the Colosseum so we suggest using the restrooms before entering. During the tour your guide will inform you of where the toilets are located.
The map above shows an example of how you can navigate the public restrooms around the city. The purple flags represent the toilets inside museums and monuments, the blue flags and orange symbols represent public restrooms and the elephant symbols represent baby changing facilities in the women’s restrooms.
