Private cars: Eyes of Rome can organize a private car or van to pick you up and take you directly to your accommodation for an additional fee. This is by far the most convenient, peaceful and secure way to get to the city! Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like us to reserve a private car for you.
Taxi: There is at least one taxi station located outside of each terminal in Fiumicino. This is also a convenient way to get to the city but unless the taxi offers a ‘fixed fee’ to get to the city, it can get costly with a running meter! This is particularly costly option if you’re driving during rush-hour.
Bus: There are several bus shuttles to take you into the centre. They can be as cheap as €5 a ticket when prepaid in advance. The buses tend to depart once an hour during the summer months but can take longer other parts of the year. The journey is roughly an hour unless there is traffic.
Train: The main train service out of Fiumicino is called the Leonardo Express. The train arrives roughly every half hour but it doesn’t run at night. The tickets are usually €14 and it takes you to Termini in about 30 minutes.
Car hire: There are a few different car rental services available at the airport. However, Rome is not the easiest city to drive and park in.
