Hi! I am amazed by the Pieta and I would love to include it in ‘In the footsteps of Michelangelo’. Is that possible or they are necessarily two different tours?

Hi Mark, thank you for your question. The Pietas - La Pietà - is located in St. Peter’s Basilica, and the entrance is free of charge. However, there is a long line - especially in the high season - and we cannot guarantee how long you will be queuing to enter the Basilica. Therefore we suggest to book a Vatican tour that finishes at St. Peter’s with the Pietà included in the visit. Otherwise, you can do ‘In the footsteps of Michelangelo’ and ask your guide to finish at St. Peter’s. He or she will explain the Pieta from the outside and at your very own time you can go and see it after the tour ends.

For any other enquiries please send us an email at [email protected] and we can help you design the best tour for you.

    Have a nice day!

Hi Mark, here is my experience. I took ‘In the footsteps of Michelangelo’ tour and I have to say that it’s a spectacular tour. I have been the day before on a Vatican tour as well and saw the Giudizio universale and the Pieta in St. Peter’s. I had the full experience of the work and the life of the master Michelangelo. With a guided tour what you see will make just so much sense! Thanks to the Eyes of Rome team for the hard work for my Roman journey.
